PLANNING & DESIGN
The Path to Success
Initial consultation: The first step would be to have an initial consultation with one of our Electrical Designers or Utility Installation Consultants to discuss your requirements and understand the scope of the project. We will ask you questions about your property and energy requirements to ensure that we have a full understanding of the project. We will need to liaise with your appointed electrician or site manager.
Application process: Once we have a full understanding of your requirements, we will take care of the application process with the distribution utility provider. We will fill out all the necessary forms on your behalf and provide all the required information to ensure that the application process is smooth and hassle-free.
Obtaining necessary approvals: Power Up Connections will also take care of obtaining all the necessary approvals from local authorities and other relevant organisations'. This may include third party legals, highway permits and environmental permits.
Project management: Once the necessary approvals are in place, the company will project manage the entire process of getting power connected to your property. This will involve coordinating all the different parties involved in the project, including the DNO, utility providers, contractors, and other suppliers.
ENGINEERING & CIVILS
A Comprehensive Approach
Site preparation: We can also take care of preparing the site for the installation of the necessary infrastructure. This may involve clearing the area where the connection will be made, digging trenches for cables, and installing any necessary ducts or conduits, joint holes required. (ON-SITE)
Power Up Connections: We have approved civils contractors who are accredited to excavate in the highways, are highly skilled in electrical distribution installations and have experience in obtaining relevant permits from the local council to carry out associated works. (OFF-SITE)
Infrastructure installation: PUC will oversee the installation of the necessary infrastructure, such as cables, transformers, switchgear and metering positions. We will ensure that the work is carried out to the highest standards and within the agreed timeframe.
CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION
Expert Guidance
Connection to the utility network: Once the infrastructure is in place, Power Up Connections will oversee the connection of your property to the specific utility network. This will involve arranging the installation of a meter, connecting cables, water pipes and other utility infrastructure to the property incoming metering point and carrying out any necessary testing and commissioning.
